The very valuable paper of Dr. Magendie on the use of prussic acid in certain diseases of the chest, which I translated and inserted in the Journal of the Royal Institution, with some preliminary observations, has succeeded in exciting, amongst medical men, that degree of interest, which if properly satisfied, must finally lead to the adoption of a more successful treatment in cases of pulmonary complaints. Having been the first to call the attention of the Profession in this country to this important subject, I stand in a manner pledged to them for further information.
