The Tree Doctor David E. Merrifield

A sad tale about lost love involving a family torn apart due to a time shift incident splitting the family across a sixty year time span. The central character, a 15 year old boy moves with his family from London to the country and finds adjusting to his new lifestyle difficult whilst struggling to cope with a new love interest who appears interested in him but unable or not prepared to fully commit. One person (The Doc) from the new village seems pleased to welcome the London family but for strange reasons he only ever seems to be able to talk to the mother and the daughter of the family although he tries to meet all of them. The family are then involved in a traumatic and strange incident where the father, son and daughter go missing. There is no sign of them and the Police are totally confused. The mother is left to try and cope with all the consequential problems and the only person who seems to understand her plight is The Doc.
