Acquaintance with the transmission modes of HIV/AIDS would make students recognize the prevention strategies they use in risk situations. Kaufman (2002) pointed out that an increased awareness about HIV/AIDS mode of transmission and prevention helps to bring about pleasant behavior that in turn avoids risk factors.
