Messrs. Rivington respectfully inform the public, that the Work now submitted to their inspection, is printed from the Manuscripts transmitted to them by the author for that purpose.

They trust, that on examination, it will be found to contain a variety of entertaining matter respecting the Greeks, as well as much information which must be peculiarly interesting at the present period.

The indulgence of the reader is requested for any trifling inaccuracies; as on account of the author's absence from the country, it was not possible for him to superintend the progress of his work through the press.
