Housing in the European Countryside reviews the international experience of housing pressure in rural areas in a number of countries. This review comprises assessment of the extent and nature of pressure, the types of policy solutions in place and implemented to address the problem, and the perceived impact and success of these policy approaches. This book undertakes a comparative analysis of different definitions used in European case studies and compares these with available or proposeddefinitions in the UK. It gives analyses of the different policy responses (within the different national contexts) and a brief assessment of their effectiveness, and provides an assessment of the feasibility of applying different policy tools to the problems currently being experienced in EU countries, taking into account the pitfals of cross-policy transfer. Among the countries examined are France, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Ireland, and the UK Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Housing in the European Countryside: Rural Pressure and Policy in Western Europe (Mark Shucksmith)
