The purpose of this experiment is to study the effect of organic and mineral nitrogen fertilizers on the vegetative growth, leaf chemical composition and tuber yield and quality of potato Sponta cv. (medium early to medium late) under new cultivated soil conditions and using drip irrigation system. This experiment included 16 treatments which were 3-organic fertilizer sources i.e., Chicken manure, Biogas manure and Compost, each at 50 kg N/fed. or without organic fertilizer within 4-total levels of N (50, 100, 150 and 200 kg N/fed.). Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers were added to all treatments at 75 kg P2O5¬ and 150 kg K2O / fed., respectively. Also Fe, Zn and Mn EDTA were sprayed at rates of 0.2, 0.08 and 0.07 kg / fed., respectively. It can be generally concluded that potato plants supplemented with 150 kg mineral-N + 50 kg organic-N as chicken manure gave the most favourable growth, the highest total yield per feddan with the best tuber quality of potato, Sponta cv. grown in sandy loam soil.
