Certified-organic agriculture has been gaining lots of attention in the recent decades.The market for organic products has also increased as more consumers engage in organic products purchases.However,there are ongoing debates about the ability of certified-organic agriculture to improve the livelihoods of organic farmersa?? household. While the proponents of certified-organic agriculture are pointing the fact that it is the only sustainable option for livelihoods improvement of smallholders farmers in developing countries. The opponents of certified-organic agriculture argue that its structure and processes create challenges for livelihoods improvement.
