When I was expecting the birth of our first child I was bombarded with information. I guess people saw the look of fear and helplessness in my eyes and wanted to do what they could to comfort me. Much of the information was very helpful. Some of it was even helpful to me. The one thing that no one told me about children was that the simple act of watching them grow can cause you to live parts of your own life over again. At first the memories come in little flashes and then in waves. A child will do or say some small thing and it will trigger a memory thought to be long gone. That memory will trigger another which will trigger yet another like an atomic reaction. It is both wonderful and painful. In order to preserve the wonder and ease the pain I have written these stories. Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Woodstock Before Woodstock (David Malcolm Rose)
