Вашему вниманию предлагается книга для чтения на русском языке с комментариями на английском языке и словарем "Что я люблю / What I Love Best".
The collection What I Love Best includes short stories about children, written by the well-known Soviet writers Victor Golyavkin, Victor Dragunsky, Mikhail Zoshchenko and Nikolai Nosov. These stories are distinguished by a fascinating plot, humour and lyricism. The stories are preceded by brief biographical sketches on the authors. The original texts, slightly adapted without detriment to the contents, are supplied with marginal Russian-English vocabularies (all the English translations being strictly contextual) and footnotes, in which words expressing Russian concepts and things are explained (in English). At the end of the book is an alphabetic vocabulary containing only those words which are not included in the 1500-word minimum vocabulary for beginners. Questions about the texts will help the reader understand the message of the stories and memorize the new vocabulary. The Russian text is accented throughout.
The book is intended for readers who have worked through an elementary practical course of Russian and want to acquire skills in analytical reading of fiction in Russian.
Для говорящих на английском языке. Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Что я люблю / What I Love Best (Голявкин Виктор Владимирович, Драгунский Виктор Юзефович, Носов Николай Николаевич, Зощенко Михаил М)
