Uganda, having only begun to appreciate its potential for large scale industrialization owing largely to its greatly untapped natural resource base, must be wary about the dangers of unrestrained industrialization without regard for the environment especially in light of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and climate change. Through an analysis of the measures put in place to deal with climate change, this book examines whether the country is equipped with an adequate legal and institutional framework that appreciates the threat of GHGs and protects the country as it adopts technologies that promise to propel it closer to joining the fellowship of developed nations of the World.
