Blackhead: a small, black-tipped, fatty mass in a skin follicle. Ambrosia was the blackhead of the Society, her family, her home, her colleagues, and her future. In a world of flawless skin, blonde hair and tall frames, Ambrosia was short, slightly plump and dark. In Lost Words, Ambrosia deals with depression from being different and struggling to accept her role within the Society.
