Multiculturalism – a topic discussed very often in the last couple of years. It is of great importance among people to know each other, to understand each other and hence to avoid social, cultural and political misunderstandings. The work deals with multiculturalism in Great Britain, explains what it is and how it came to existence, introduces various cultures co-existing together in Great Britain and last but not least shows results of a research made among Trnava University students comparing the attitudes and knowledge of students concerning multiculturalism in Britain. The aim of the work was to make the reader more familiar with what it means to be multicultural and to show the necessity of tolerance among various cultures.
