Water is a basic requirement for all life, without which, there is no life. The human right to water entitles everyone to sufficient, safe, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for personal and domestic uses .However, 1.1 billion people lack access to improved water sources, which represented 17% of the global population, and in sub-Saharan Africa, 42% of the population is still without improved water. Ghana’s population is increasing rapidly. This has put a lot of pressure on government to provide safe and adequate supply of water.
