Accretion discs are ubiquitous in astrophysics. It occurs around strong magneticstars in X-ray binary pulsars, magnetic white dwarfs, in cataclysmic variables,and T Taurus stars, etc.The interaction between a magnetized; rotating star anda surrounding accretion disc has been of continued interest since the discoveryof X-ray pulsars in binary systems. In spite of the early progress, interaction ofthe accretion disc with in the stellar magnetosphere is not yet well understood.The subject of this book will therefore be to construct a theoretical model whichcan be used as the basis for further analytical and numerical investigations foraccretion disc around magnetized stars including effect of the magnetic fieldgenerated by an internal dynamo.
