Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Virus (MYMV) has been found widely distributed throughout the World causing enormous losses to leguminous crops. The yield losses vary from 10 to 100 per cent depending upon the severity and genotypic response to disease. Mungbean is one of the important legume crops extensively grown under both rainfed and irrigated conditions. The present yield potential is not enough to attract farmers because of low yield and susceptibility to disease. Hence, the present investigation was carried out to study the genetics of quantitative traits and also the inheritance of MYMV. The material for the present study included eight diverse lines crossed with four diverse testers. The combining ability analysis revealed that the importance of non-additive gene action in controlling all the yield contributing traits.
