Breast cancers are a growing problem worldwide owing to their heterogeneity. This calls for extensive research to look into the issue in detail to offer solutions to patients. The field of Molecular pathology offers promising results from bench to bedside. In this work, an attempt was made to analyse the diverse characteristics of this deadly diseases in a small population in rural India. genetic mutation was seen in all of the patients - an alarming observation. Ancillary studies such as immunohistochemistry facilitate in subtyping the tumor for effective treatment. However, more research is warranted to directly correlate BRCA1 gene mutations to the cancer.
