MANAGEMENT OF BASIC EDUCATION PROJECTS IN PRIVATE SECTOR Joshua Mhalila

As it is the case in other developing countries, Tanzania has witnessed mushrooming of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) involved in provision and/or support of various social services including basic education. In addition, a significant number of CSOs have been advocating the concept of stakeholders'' participation in various development initiatives. However, the questions to ask are; how effective are these CSOs? How effective is the concept of stakeholders'' participation in project management?
