Verb Complexes in Thai is a comprehensive study of Thai complex verb phrases which are non-arguments of the main predicate of a clause: Directional Serial Verb Constructions, Aspectual Constructions and Adjoining Constructions. The author investigates how these three types of Thai verb complexes are syntactically manifested and how their semantic composition proceeds, using Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar and Minimal Recursion Semantics as theoretical frameworks. Traditionally, the Thai verb complexes studied in this book have been considered instances of serialization. However, the author shows that there is no uniformly defined notion of so-called serialization, from either a syntactic or semantic point of view, that can apply to the Thai verb complexes investigated here. She presents the treatment of Thai verb complexes that is precise and computationally oriented. Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Verb Complexes in Thai (Nuttanart Facundes)
