Hazardous heavy metals such as cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), and zinc (Zn) are the most dangerous contaminants, accumulate in the environment and cause serious damages to ecosystems and human health.
