Gabrielle Marietti, granddaughter to Seaside Knitter Birdie Fazzio, has returned to Sea Harbor to visit her grandmother for the fall semester. She's enrolled in the Sea Harbor Community Day School, which has recently adopted a more socially progressive curriculum. Gabi loves the school, and sits on the wide terraces overlooking the sea knitting hats and socks with her girlfriends to donate to charity. But not all are pleased. Chief among them is Blythe Sheffield, who once attended the school and is now an opinionated board member. When Blythe's body is found near the school boathouse, on the evening of an elegant school event, tempers flair and tensions erupt.
