A Reef in time: Waypoints of a Most Unusual Sailor is the memoir of a man who, somewhat past the age of 30 and on the brink of a rewarding career, decided a good job and comfortable future just wasn't enough. So he went to sea-which in itself isn't unusual. Considering, however, that Stuart Reininger's background and previous choices in life, becoming a sailor, much less a professional sailor, would seem to be the last thing he would do-or at the least, another unfortunate choice.
