MOUNTAIN WISDOM: Mountain Folk is a collection of Home Remedies, Superstitions, Beauty Tips, Dream Interpretations, Rhymes, Riddles, and Weather Predictions. It comes from notes and such recorded by author Judith Victoria Hensley over the last thirty plus years while listening to people talk from Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. A native Appalachian, Hensley wrote down the "mountain wisdom" as she heard it and has also compiled an enormous collection of vintage photos. MOUNTAIN WISDOM: Mountain Folk is chock full of interesting and downright outrageous authentic Appalachian knowledge; and let's face it, some of it is pretty doggoned funny, too.
