After an interruption of several years, the University of Iowa Studies in Education are now resumed with this monograph by Dr. W. N. Andersen. The first three numbers, which appeared in the years 1911 and 1912, included the following:
1. A Comparison of Elementary and High School Grades, by Walter R. Miles;
2. A Comparative Study of City and Rural School Attendance, by Ernest Wilder Fellows;
3. A Rational Basis for Determining Fitness for College Entrance, by Franklin O. Smith.
As these numbers are now out of print, a new volume of which the present monograph is the first number is begun herewith.
