This little book presents an outline and summary of the leading facts of the Oregon School Laws. The facts most closely related have been grouped and stated in language freed as nearly as practicable from legal phraseology and terms. Wherever the law seemed merely for the guidance of some officer or board, and of a directory nature, the summary has been made quite brief and so arranged that the student can easily follow the general plan. Wherever the law treats of matters of general public interest, the treatment has been more exhaustive. Practically all of the essential points have been included. Teachers will find the arrangement helpful in gaining a working knowledge of the statutes governing our state system of education.
