Excerpt from Hints on Bible Marking
The Bible has been well named "the Endless Book." No human mind has ever gone to the end of it, in height, or depth, or length, or breadth. After all the telescopic and the microscopic searchings of devout minds and hearts in all ages, still the dear old Book, like the love of Christ, "passeth knowledge," while at the same time it invites to yet deeper study, and rewards every effort with new disclosures of the things of God. Blessed therefore be the hand that offers even the slightest encouragement and help to the humblest searcher of the Endless Book in his quest for the eternal riches of God. Such help is here modestly offered by the trained, skillful hand of my Bible-loving friend and brother, the author of this admirable volume of "Hints on Bible Marking." Whoso shall diligently turn these "Hints" into helps in the study of the Word, cannot fail to gain a fuller comprehension and a firmer grasp of the precious truths therein revealed.
