Miss Aspinwall stood in the middle of Mrs. Lorraine"s long drawing-room, surveying it with unqualified disapproval.
"Taste," she murmured, "is akin to greatness. A few are born with it; a few more make desperate attempts and acquire a sufficient amount for parade; but the vast majority have their entire stock thrust upon them by their dressmakers and upholsterers. Here," She swept a withering glance about, "one might suppose a circus manager and a pawnbroker to be only ones responsible for such an agglomeration."
There was no doubt that it was an amazing apartment.
