Excerpt from The Harmony of Divine and Heavenly Doctrines: Demonstrated in Sundry Declarations on Variety of Subjects Preached at the Quakers Meetings in London
The Editor of this book has spared no expence to have it neatly and correctly printed, and is thankful to the public for their encouragement. He has well founded hopes, that by re-publishing it, he will render an acceptable service to society. He has no doubt but it will prove an useful companion to all well minded persons, who ardently desire to know him, "in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"; who with to have their minds improved, and their hearts amended. The unaffected piety of the author; the important object of the Sermons; the excellent choice of the different subjects; the purity of the language; will all tend to make it an acquisition to literary men, especially as they were never published in Ireland, and for obvious reasons, do not appear in william Penn'S works.
