What is the first event recorded in the Bible?
The creation of the heavens and the earth.
In what state was the earth when first created?
It was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
How long was God in creating all things?
He made them by his word in the space of six days.
What did God do on the seventh day?
He rested from all the works which he had made; and he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.
What was the last and noblest work of God?
The creation of man in his own image and after his own likeness.
How did God make man?
He formed his body out of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
Where did God put the man when he had made him?
The Lord planted a garden in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
What power did God give him?
He gave him dominion over the whole earth, and over every thing that hath life upon the earth.
What command did he give him?
