The purpose in this second part of the Ninth Yearbook is to present a brief survey of the entrance into the work of public education of the professionally trained nurse; to bring together some of the important results already attained in this field; to indicate the scope and possibilities of the work of this educational nurse; to suggest the relationship of the nurse to the school and community, and to indicate the co-ordination of the nurses work with that of parent, regular teacher, school physician, teacher of physical education, and other special teachers whose particular subjects bring them into relation with the health side of education. Valuable help and guidance have been given in the preparation of this report by Professor Henry Suzzallo.
