One of the earliest printed books in the English language (printed by Wynkyn de Worde ), is "The Treatyse of Fysshinge with an Angle," by Dame Juliana Barnes, Prioress of the Nunnery of Sopewell, near St. Albans; and this forms part of the celebrated "Boke of St. Albans," which De Worde produced at Westminster in 1496.
