The book is a collection of poems dealing with various themes, emotions and mental states, the overarching, unifying idea being remorse. Remorse comes in many forms not the least of which is the self-inflicted kind. Yet, it is one of those emotions that can yield both self-examination and self-improvement. The former brings about new realizations, the latter hope for the future. At one level or another, remorse always addresses issues of past selves as well as intimations of a possible future self. The poems intend to highlight both of these emotional and mental states. Vasile Munteanu earned a B.A. and an M.A. degree in English from Oakland University in Michigan and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Interpretation and Culture from State University of New York at Binghamton.
