Rip Power

Rip feels like an outsider. He gets no attention at home, and kids tease him in school for being a slow reader. Then he studies notes his language arts teacher gave him, designed to enhance his reading ability at the only place he finds refuge, the public library. But when a local gang invades his sanctuary, Rip"s caught smack dab in the middle and his life spins out of control. With the help of a mysterious librarian, Rip discovers that he has obtained extraordinary powers. He can convert the ideas inside the books within his backpack into weapons. But is it too late?
