The earliest date from the late 17th or early 18th century and are by an anonymous Italian artist and the latest are from the middle of the 20th century. Margaret Meen, Lilian Snelling, MBE, Graham Stuart Thomas and others. Also included arc-colour prints from one of the great multi-volume anthologies of rare and unusual plants from around the world: Ludwig Reichenbach"s hones Florae Germanicae et Helveticae. Also from this period are hand-coloured engravings from The British Flower Garden and The Florist"s Guide, both produced and published by the nurseryman and horticulturalist Robert Sweet.
