Picciola Xavier B. Saintine

Xavier Boniface Saintine (born Joseph Xavier Boniface) (1798-1865) was a French playwright and novelist. Picciola is the story of the comte de Charney, a political prisoner who maintained his sanity because of a flower growing in his prison yard.
