Phases of Faith Francis William Newman

Francis William Newman was a 19th century English scholar and writer. In 1840 he became Professor of Latin in Manchester New College, a Unitarian seminary. In 1850 he published Phases of Faith, or Passages from the History of my Creed, which is a religious autobiography detailing the author's passage from Calvinism to pure theism, in which God is personal and active in the governance and organization of the world and the universe.
