You are, no doubt, a patriotic, flag-waving, God-fearing all-American. You worry that the government has become far too large, costly, and, for the most part, dysfunctional. This old man has felt that way for several years and many administrations. Our Founding Fathers had it right in 1797 when they crafted our magnificent 4,200-word constitution. They did this in under 100 days, yet 217 years later, the federal bureaucracy churn out millions of laws, rules, regulations, and thousands of pages of instructions without getting it right. The problem is factionalism-that is, the political party system with its built-in thievery, patronage, and "You scratch my back and I"ll scratch yours" system. America, in order to right the ship of state, needs to take a big step back, reorganize as a pure constitutional republic in which the constitution is the people"s and the government"s law, a condition in which the people are the masters of the ship and the president, legislature, and judiciary are the working crew. If we want to redeem our republic and some semblance of real honor, we must convene an Article V Convention of States and make a few minor changes to our magnificent Constitution. May God continue to bless this republic. Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Federalism vs Factionalism (Dr. Tom Col USA (ret) Davis)
