Both children froze in fear until the ghost suddenly smiled and said, "Hello, my name is Timmy." Jacky stuttered a bit but finally managed to say his name and then pointed at Becky and told Timmy her name. The ghost then said, "Please don't be afraid of me. I'm very lonesome and haven't had anyone to play with in an awfully long time." Jacky and Becky stood there as Timmy came closer to them. As he did, his body began to become somewhat more solid but still white in color. Timmy then asked, "Do you know where my mother and father are? I woke up last night and found them gone, and all our furniture but that old clock over there and my furniture and toys in the attic."
