Frederic Austin Ogg (1878-1951) was an American professor, political scientist, historian and author. He graduated from DePauw Univ. (Ph. D., 1899), Indiana Univ. (A. M., 1900), and Harvard Univ. (Ph. D., 1908). He was an editor of the Century Political Science Series and for many years of the American Political Science Review. His works include: Social Progress in Contemporary Europe (1912), The Governments of Europe (1913), The Reign of Andrew Jackson (1919) and The Old Northwest: A Chronicle of the Ohio Valley and Beyond (1919).
