Solomon Sampson Satchwell (1821-1892) was an American physician. In 1850 he received his M. D. degree from New York University, and practiced medicine in North Carolina. He served in the Civil War with the Twenty-Fifth North Carolina Regiment. In 1879 he became the first President of the North Carolina Board of Health.
