Neilson N. Kaufman was born in Barts Hospital Holborn, London but was brought up in Hoxton before moving to South Africa back on Sunday 30 July 1981, the day after Diana and Charles’ Royal wedding. He remembers standing in his office at the Financial Times Newspaper in 10 Canon Street and waving to the happy couple as they went by in their carriage. The next day he was off to start a new life. I was first approached and then appointed as club historian back in 1972 by the then Commercial Manager Brian Blower, it’s great that I’m still in contact with Brian, who now lives in Spain, and so forty years later Neil is still living in Johannesburg and finalizing his tenth and possibly his final book on the O’s. It’s been a long journey for us O’s fans with all the up and downs, but would we have it any other way, Never. A big thank you to Chairman and owner Barry Hearn for taking over the club when at its lowest back in 1995 and helping us to continue our O’s dream of one day playing in the Championship and then playing in the top-tier of football once again. As it is said… Dreams do sometimes come true? Это и многое другое вы найдете в книге Leyton Orient The Official Quiz Book 1881 - 2012 (Neilson F Kaufman)
