Edwin August Bjorkman (1866-1951) was a Swedish-American author, translator, journalist and critic. He worked for the British Department of Information and the American Committee on Public Information, was literary editor of the Asheville Times newspaper and was director of the North Carolina Federal Writers" Project. His works include: Is There Anything New Under the Sun? (1911), Gleams (1912), Voices of Tomorrow: Critical Studies of the New Spirit in Literature (1913), Scandinavia and the War (1914), The Cry of Ukraine (1915), The Leisure Class (1916), The Man of Mystery (1916), The Soul of a Child (1922), Gates of Life (1923), Thomas Burke (1927), The Search for Atlantis (1927) and The Wings of Azrael (1934).
