When fire swept through the land where Gary and Clo had raised their family, not one, but two of the homes in which they lived were burned to the ground. Seeing pictures of their ashes moved Clo to write of the life they experienced on their Montana ranch. When they retired to Georgia in 1999, they left a portion of their hearts with their ranch and land and friends. It was a call from their son that alerted them to the fire spreading through the country in which they had lived.
