When the roof to the Sandy Harbor Library collapses, diner ower and comfort food chef Trixie Matkowski decides to take matters into her own hands and put together a macaroni and cheese cook-off for the town's Winter Carnival to raise the funds for the repair. As luck would have it, celebrity TV chef and former Sandy Harbor resident, Priscilla "Cilla" Finch-Smythe will be breezing through town on her way to Canada, to sign her new cookbook and tape her show, and she graciously agrees to judge the contest. With the grand prize being an appearance on Cilla's show along with a credited recipe in Cilla's next cookbook, Trixie is sure that they'll have no probem raising the money. And as an extra bonus, if she wins the contest, she's convinced the publicity would do wonders for business at the diner.
