This is a First Standard teacher-training course, and a diploma may be secured on its satisfactory completion upon application to the state association.
The first ten lessons deal with the teacher, the second ten with the pupil, the third ten with the school and the last twenty with the Bible. The first thirty lessons are based on modern psychology.
This is not a mere drill book, a succession of dry facts, but a presentation of fundamental principles with practical applications. The author has sought to make the treatment complete, though not exhaustive - to present in clear, interesting form the best results of modern scholarship and practical experience.
