Thanksgiving services are general in Christian communities. There is an innate sense of the rightfulness and propriety of Thanksgiving which is in accord with the teachings of Christianity. Various are the legitimate ways the Christian minister, and especially those entering upon their arduous and important duties, may secure the needful preparation to discourse upon this ever-fruitful theme of Thanksgiving. His primary resource must be God"s own Word. He is, however, lacking in research, and illy qualifies himself for the discharge of this imperative duty of suitable discourse upon Thanksgiving, who fails to glean and appropriate from every field, with prayerful care, all help available, extracting the sweets from all flowers as the bee the honey.
