Oklahoma and Indian Territories were united and admitted as a state. General Leonard Wood fought the battle of Dojo in the Moro country. Prof. Woodrow Wilson was for the first time mentioned as a Presidential possibility. It was the year of the famous Bellamy Storer recall and "Dear Maria" letters. Roosevelt delivered his celebrated muckrake speech. The San Francisco earthquake occurred.
