Excerpt from The Life Worth While
To know Him though we cannot understand Him, even as our children know us hut do not understand our ways; to he always conscious that He is, that He is actually with us, that His eyes melt with tenderness whenever He looks upon us; to recognize Him as our Lord whom we have enthroned in our hearts forever; to serve Him and our fellowmen blithely and with a gentle hand; to keep the current of our lives in the channel of His truth; and to watch daily for the footprints of Him who has gone before to prepare a place for us - these are aims that are worthy of all that is loftiest and best in man.
For it is in the fulfilment of these aims that we shall find life - life eternal; the only satisfying life; the only life worth while.
