Due to industrial demand for reliable and sustainable energy, a variety of new and scientifically based technologies, thin films studies have made tremendous advances in the last decade. The thin film solar energy conversion devices have, therefore become of vital importance. Researchers working in photovoltaic materials and devices in many parts of the world feel the urgent need to revitalize research in photovoltaics. Therefore more attention has been given on photovoltaic devices for direct conversion of solar energy into electrical energy.
