The following compilation is an attempt to give a short account of the Appliances, and method of using the Appliances, in the Antiseptic System of treatment of Wounds.
It is not purposed here to give a resume of the great facts on which the Antiseptic System is based, nor yet of the reasons which have induced Surgeons everywhere to employ antiseptic management in some form or other, but it is hoped that there will be enough to guide the Student to a correct mode of using the materials at his disposal.
