Excerpt from Constitution of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of the State of New York: Revised and Adopted on the 7th Day of February, 1867
Sec. 1. The style of this Grand Chapter shall be, "The Grand Chapter of the State of New York."
Sec. 2. This Grand Chapter is a body of Royal Arch Masons in whom is inalienably vested the government and superintendence of Capitular Masonry within its territorial jurisdiction, subject only to its obligations to the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons for the United States of America.
